Such a sweet (somewhat slow-burn) romance with plenty of chemistry!

I loved the new year "resolutions/promises" and how these two happened to cross each other's paths just as they made these promises to themselves. The meet-cute felt very real and not the best in terms of being romantic but it was very true to character! These two brought out the best in each other and I liked that they fell in love before they connected physically and while one is younger than the other their differences only made them better! So sweet and another great story from DJ!!

Boyfriend Freeze stands alone but we first met Ollie in Naughty & Nice, Love Notes book 2; he wasn’t a very nice character in that story. He wasn’t really a bad guy but he did a couple of things that weren’t too cool and I am so happy that DJ decided to write a story for him.

Ollie made a New Year’s resolution to change his promiscuous ways. Hookups have become very unsatisfactory and his rejection by his latest one was the straw that broke the camel’s back. He resolves to remain dateless and celibate for 60 days. So, what happens? He meets the guy who could be “the one;” the perfect guy for him.

I enjoyed Ollie’s snarky wit and how it rubbed off on Graham. I also like how Graham’s more settled and calmer persona helped Ollie but didn’t stifle his exuberance. This was a fairly quick read but I loved every minute of it.

It’s been a while since I listened to a book performed by Darcy Stark so I really enjoyed listening to him perform this story. I love his voice and way he seems to really get the characters. He made them seem pretty much how I imagined them when I first read this book a little over a year ago.

Story 3.5 hours rounded up

For me this was just ok. The characters didn't stand out for me and the story didn't grab me. I didn't not like it though and I really enjoyed the last 2 hours. For me it just took way too long for them to get together and the uneventful plot made me zone out quite a bit. Even in the end there's is almost zero heat and quite frankly I was bored alot of the time. Only reason I kept reading is cause I did appreciate their differences and back and forth snarky banter.

The narrator did a fantastic job. Their reading voice was pleasant. They expressed the emotions really well and they used different voices for each character that suited them really well and were all pleasant to listen to.

I have now both read and listened to this book and I think I liked the audio more. Darcy Stark gave the book life.

This is a book that I really enjoyed listening to! Graham is stoic, sweet and love books. Ollie is a party boy that wants a better life. They fit perfectly together!

This is a fun college story. Graham is a grad student librarian who is geeky and somewhat insecure. Ollie is more of a snarky love and leave type guy. Things change when Ollie starts working at the library and they come to face with each other. The really interesting part is how Ollie deals with his self-imposed 60 day no sex resolution to himself. These two are so opposite and yet so attracted to each other. The banter between them made the story light hearted. I think the narration by Darcy Stark helped with the snarkyness and banter.
