Here is a book, were the MC is a Necomancer but not the pire villian. In most books Necromancer are seen in a very naive perspective. The society still see Necromancer as evil but the MC is not? I like the plot of the stroy very much!

This book was a wonderful discovery. I enjoyed the Ant colony series that RinoZ wrote but I found it a little bit "young adult" despite it being a great series of books but this series is several shades darker and has a really deep and compelling story running through it flavoured with a bit of litRPG that scratches that itch but doesn't bury you in crunchy stat dumps that are the bane of audio-book litRPGs. I was also very impressed by the narration of Phil Thron, it's been quite a while since I've found a new S-tier narrator so I'll be hunting out other works by him too.

A breath of fresh air, the characters are very believable. The writing flows very easily. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to other books in this series. Look forward to reading those soon too.

gripping story, well narrated, great world building and side characters. it feels much more like a person going through the choices in front of them than a half baked character.
I found this after listening to his other series chrysalis and was uncertain as its not like it at all, that was not a problem, I like the more serious angle and tho there is less humour I was hooked just as much.
definitely worth the plunge of a credit and I've already got the next book to jump into next.

Why do so many books in this genre where characters have super human powers insist that the main character be intellectually emotionally and psychologically impaired. Then there's the repetition of stats for no other reason than to pad out the book, I'm not sure why every stats skill ability spell has to be repeated every time.
But at least the Scottish, Welsh French Spanish and Russian accents were not attempted it usually ends badly and incoherent.
