The Blue sisters have always been exceptional – and exceptionally different.

Avery, a strait-laced lawyer living in London, is the typical eldest daughter, though she’s hiding a secret that could undo her perfect life forever.

Bonnie was a boxer but, following a devastating defeat, she's been working as a bouncer in LA – until a reckless act one night threatens to drive her out of the city.

And Lucky, the rebellious youngest, is a model in Paris whose hard-partying ways are finally catching up with her.

Then there was Nicky, the beloved fourth sister, whose unexpected death left Avery, Bonnie and Lucky reeling.

When, a year later, the three of them must reunite in New York to stop the sale of their childhood home, they find that it's only by returning to each other that they can navigate their grief, addiction and heartbreak and learn to fall in love with life again.

This is a must. I’m writing this after a second listen. It hit the spot just as hard if not more. The story woven between the sisters is compelling and beautifully told. The narrator impeccable. It’s a book to absorb

The second listen was even better

Even though I wasn't a fan of the narrator's voice at first, I got used to it and really enjoyed this book. You get attached to the sisters very quickly and they're all described so well! Definitely recommend

Loved it!

Some books are meant to be read & not listened to & I think this is one of them, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. The accents were excruciating! Why not get an American actor to narrate the novel as the main characters are all American. The monotonous tone was also extremely annoying.

V good book, hated the narration

A great listen, loved the chapters being broken into each sister. The characters were all well done - and I couldn’t stop listening.

Fantastic characterisation

The thing I liked most about this book is that the main subject wasn’t romantic love. All the sisters had different personalities and problems and I enjoyed the challenge of reflecting on them from different points of view. I did find the sisters really self indulgent and irritating but maybe that’s the point. Narration was clear but I felt that there wasn’t much scope for different emotions.

Enjoyable
