I always love a good book, not only from a great star like Michael Caine but also from such an excellently expressive person such as he. With that in mind this is yet another book I have immersed myself in by Michael Caine. From start to finish his life in his own words has transfixed me, as have all his other books that I have had the pleasure to of listen to have.. I love his thoughts of times gone by of his amazing life...thanks for sharing again Maurice.... Mark Mac...

First of all, let me just say that, if you’re looking to read or hear about all the juicy gossip then you’re reading the wrong book. This is a mixture of lessons to be llearned and memoir. it tends to gloss over his acting role and some of them get more of a mention than others so don’t expect this book to dish the dirt on fellow actors but then, what else would you expect from a working class gentleman and make no mistake, Michael is more of a gentleman than some of his more elustrious contemmperories. he’s simply a nice person though, I know from something said in the book he’ll take no notie of what i say because it’s better to ignore reviews. the performance is, in many ways, typical of the laid back soft spoken but with an edge of steel Michael Caine. it’s easy to see where one recording session ends and the next one begins but, i reckon at his age and with all the hours of entertainment given to us we can forgive him the fact that there are times when it almost seems as if he’s forgotten we’re there. This book is an overiew of life as much as anything else but it’s good and I think everyone that reads this will find lessons to be learnd for them in it so, give it a go, blow the bloody doors off. it’ll be worth the ride.

Lessons to be learned
