I'm Sam, the werewolf book nerd owner of The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore & Bar. I've always thought of Dave, my red-skinned, shark-eyed, half-demon cook, as a kind of foul-mouthed uncle, one occasionally given to bouts of uncontrolled anger.

Something's going on, though. He's acting strangely, hiding things. When I asked what was wrong, he blew me off and told me to quit bugging him. That's normal enough. What's not is his missing work. Ever. Other demons are appearing in the bar, looking for him. I'm getting worried, and his banshee girlfriend Maggie isn't answering my calls.

Demons terrify me. I do NOT want to go into any demon bars looking for Dave, but he's my family, sort of. I need to try to help, whether he wants me to or not. When I finally learn the truth, though . . . I'm not sure I can ever look at him again, let alone have him work for me. Are there limits to forgiveness? I think there might be.

I have been hooked on these books since the beginning. I love the way Seana Kelly can put everything into the mixing pot and it becomes a story of witches, vampires, werewolves, demons, fae, dragon shifters and so much more. It's never too much, there's romance, laughter, tears and screams. Sam and Clive are the main characters who seem to attract the worst luck accompanied with the worst supernaturals who want to kill them or at least ruin their lives. Some want revenge, ermm actually most want revenge and a few want to rekindle old romances. Samantha Desz is the perfect narrator, her performance of so many characters are great, my favourite being Clive. Being English I usually cringe at attempts of English accent but Clive is perfect. Being honest the other more "common" English vampires needs a bit more practice but I still enjoyed every bit.

Again another fantastic installment, I love this series, does not go down hill, the narration i really enjoyed also, missed some of the normal characters, but the humour still there, can't wait for the next one, It's easy listening, but gets you hooked, funny and laugh out load some parts, but not silly, just thoroughly enjoyable, has its serious moments, the romance not overshadowing/taking over. I am actually missing it already ,

Sam and Clives new house is being build by dragons and is coming along really well. The only problem seems to be Dave has stopped turning up and tjey don't know why. Also Clive is being tourched in his sleep by a demon, are these thing conected? Read brilliantly again by Samantha Desz.

What a pleasant surprise I've had with the Sam Quinn series. Can't wait for book 6 due out in October, now!! This series is funny, steamy in parts, fast paced with the right mix of modern & history mixed in. Hats off to the author for storylines & character construction high standards!!!. Ate these up like my favourite box of chocolates!!! Please Keep the narrator for the rest of the books when they arrive, anybody else would ruin the story now!
