When we hear people talk about being present, many of us remember raising our hands in elementary school in response to roll call. Paul, CFO of Gladsen Manufacturing, saw it pretty much the same way. He felt that being present at work simply meant he was in the room for one of many gatherings and slide show presentations. Overall, he thought of himself as a present dad, husband, and executive, but was he really? In an attempt to support his son’s theatrical ambitions, Paul takes an acting class and learns that presence is a whole lot more than he thought it was.
