A single-engine plane crashed moments after takeoff from Butler Memorial Airport south of Kansas City, Missouri, killing all 12 people on board including the pilot and at least 11 skydivers. Witnesses reported the aircraft made a sharp left turn before crashing near the runway and bursting into flames around 11:30 a.m. local time. Emergency crews extinguished the blaze but all victims died at the scene.
