It might be an old story, but I don’t care. This was as equally interesting as it was concerning. A lack of understanding of disability is worrying and secondly oppressed communities allowing themselves be put against each other to the benefit of neither.
The rhetoric from many high profile Black people was particularly disappointing and offensive to many with disabilities.
BAFTA and the BBC both failed their audiences. But my interest isn’t with either of these institutions. My focus is on Black people doing better. It’ll benefit us all.
