Summary
On this episode Karen Dougherty is in conversation with Sue Baxt about the upcoming Canadian Psychoanalytic Congress, "Theories We Work With – Theories We Live By," in Montreal from June 4-6. Always very involved with the CPS Congresses and part of the organizing committee, Sue is a psychologist in private practice. She sees adults and adolescents in long- and short-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy and in psychoanalysis. Sue teaches the candidates at the CIP QE and the residents at Ottawa University and the psychotherapy candidates at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and at the Eastern Child Consortium in the continuous case program.
Sue is a member of the Quebec English Branch, Contemporary Freudian Society, Guest Member Michigan Psychoanalytic Society. And she is the chair of the Extension Committee for the Association for Child Psychoanalysis and the North American Co-Chair of COCAP. Right now, Sue is developing a child psychoanalysis training program for Canada. Karen and Sue talk about the theme of this year's congress, the exceptional line-up of speakers and events, and the gorgeous location: Montreal in springtime.
