At the height of the recent recession, I was 55-years-old, laid off from my job, and running short on hope. To cover our bills, my husband took on a second full time job while I found a roommate to rent out our spare bedroom. Every day our faith was tested as our prayers went unanswered. I was convinced that if I kept believing and held strong in my faith, that eventually God would answer our prayers. Little did I realize there would be plenty of twists and turns along the way.
