About this listen

As war rages between the Bureau of Supernatural Investigations and the League of Magicians, magician Amari is caught in the middle – and she’s lost her magic. Plus her superstar agent brother Quinton is back and he’s determined to keep Amari safe, which means leaving the agent missions to him.

So when she discovers that her enemy Dylan is trying to unlock a destructive new power – which would make him invincible – it’s up to Amari and her friends to stop him. Soon they are on the trail of a series of magical inventions – the Despicable Wonders – which hold the key.

But can Amari reach the Wonders before Dylan does? And how is she going to take on her most powerful enemy without her magic? The supernatural world is holding its breath . . .

The different accents are easy but they’re not quite right but still an amazing experience and sets up the fourth book perfectly

Amazing end and it’s the core of the next one that’s how good it is

I have read, and loved, the first two books but this book didn't work for me. It never held my concentration for more than an hour, and even then it wasnt enjoyable.

This book felt disconnected to the last to books. It started in the middle of nowhere, after getting her brother back he disappears for the whole book. Where was the happy reunion you woukd expect after spending two books trying to secure his freedom.

There was no real character bonding or arcs. Not to mention, there seems to be a few unnecessary characters that are included, with no real purpose. This is not needed and the author would benefit more by cutting them and focusing on a small few of the main cast.

This book felt like the author didn't know what to write, or is trying unnecessarily to add more books before figuring out a structure to incorporate such books.

I feel terrible saying it, but this book felt very messy, with no real structure of plotlines that the reader would care about. It has honestly been a chore to read.
