The writing itself was so well done too because it managed to feel really immersive without becoming heavy, and it made the entire world and atmosphere ridiculously easy to fall into. I kept saying “one more chapter” and suddenly half the book was gone.
Also I was OBSESSED with the MMC. Absolutely gone for this man from start to finish. The chemistry, the tension, the little moments mixed in with all the chaos… perfect.
And that ending??? I am genuinely gagging for the next book because there is no way you can leave me like that and expect me to be normal about it. An easy five stars for me.
