Frankie is so funny and a great writer but this is a bit a departure that got weird in places even for me one of his most ardent fans

Although I'd hate to live through Frankie & Charlie's account of what lies ahead for humanity (especially if I was Sir Richard Branson) I found their story non-stop hilarious. Found myself laughing out loud many times at the total madness as it unfolded. Frankie's deadpan delivery throughout the audiobook made every crazy thing sound so much crazier. I can't think of anyone else better suited to do the job. Fingers crossed Frankie & Charlie are able to 'return' and release another book to continue their stories of their adventures through time (and their visits to further restaurants). Highly recommended book.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. A mixture of typically dark Boyle humour and abstract and imaginative humour. Will definitely listen over again and again.

Frankie Boyle has a unique style of storytelling and for those who have followed his other works of standup you will know what you are getting but it might be a bit more difficult if this was your first book of his. Basically a person from the future comes and gives details of what happens in the upcoming apocalypse so it’s pretty dark at times but well observed (if that can be said of something that didn’t happen)
