Loved it. The stories are good but it’s the supernatural elements that have me absolutely hooked.

The last novel didn’t seem to Land with Johns usual Prowess and I would love to know what was going on with that but my word has he brought it back with bells and whistles, this is an outstanding book, the pace plot and dialogue are at the pinnacle of literary Mastery, for me, it doesn’t get any better than this! I’m in awe, thank you John Connolly!!!

An excellent addition to the Charlie Parker series and so much more absorbing than “Instruments of Darkness”, which I returned. Disappointed that Louis and Angel have less prominent roles and I miss the their banter. Superbly narrated by Jeff Harding.

Just finished The River Is Red with Blood on Audible, Brilliantly written by John Connolly and exceptionally narrated by Jeff Harding. An excellent, dark and gripping story that somehow still delivers John Connolly’s trademark humour through the brilliant chemistry between Charlie Parker, Louis and Angel.
Great to have all the familiar characters back together in one book again, with a powerful plot, plenty of twists, and a superb ending. Jeff Harding’s narration genuinely elevated the whole experience and brought every character to life perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys intelligent crime thrillers with dark atmosphere, sharp wit, and unforgettable characters.

Another belter from JC! I finished this book on the day it arrived in my library, despite lying to myself about making it last.

All the characters we've grown to love, Moxie Costin, Louis & Angel, the Fulci bros, Mrs. Bondarchuk & her pomeranians and the reappearance of psychic and fish-fancier, Sabine Drew....all make this novel un-put-downable.

I'm not even going to say what it's all about - you'll just have to listen & find out for yourself.

Jeff Harding's narration is, as always, perfect!
