Chloe Archer does it again, penning another wonderful novel, a paranormal fantasy male/male romance novel that captivates your attention, warms your heart and puts a smile on your face. Noah Price’ luck has never been good, and he has a tendency to attract trouble, but he never lets that bring him down or break his spirit. He leaves for an adventure, a trip of a lifetime to the place he always wanted to go, Scotland, and not just for the Scottish men in kilts. His trip starts off with a hitch, which he handles in a Noah way, but after a wild encounter on the train, his luck is about to change in the most amazing of ways, thanks to Elryk, a gargoyle and guard with the DarkWing clan in the Highlands. Noah was a hit with the other gargoyles, lots of laughs, but getting Elryk on board is another story. These two were great together and for each other, Elryk was super protective, but Noah was not as fragile as he first thought. Noah brings hope to the others in the clan, hope they will find their own mates, plus abilities to strengthen the clan. Archer created a fascinating tale, a fun and adventurous journey for Noah, a learning experience, finding his people, his power and his fated mate. I loved all the layers of the story and how it all played out, with amazing humor and witty dialogue, drama, a touch of angst, exciting twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. As always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Chloe Archer, thank you for another fabulously entertaining story and wild ride.

🎧📚🎧 Gary Furlong’s talent and versatility truly shine as he delivers an exceptional performance voicing these characters, handling the witty dialogue with ease and landing the humor effortlessly. Believable in every role, giving each character their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. He nailed it as both lead characters, Noah and Elryk, showcasing both of their personalities perfectly, and he was just as fabulous embodying the roles of the side and secondary characters too. Furlong is an entertaining storyteller, and his captivating performance not only keeps you glued to the story, but he takes the already amazing story to another level.

Amazing book by Chloe Archer. I absolutely adored Noah and Elyrk - these two were so cute together. I was smiling and laughing throughout.

Noah is brash, bold and fabulously sassy which he needs to be in order to stay upbeat in the face of a lifetime of horrifically bad luck.
He's just about had it when he encounters The Magic Shop and the Owner.
He gets a free tarot reading that encourages him to seek his true hearts desire which leads him to Scotland for his ultimate bucket list.
When he arrives he becomes aware that something has changed within him.
He finds himself under attack and then rescued by gorgeous Scottish gargoyles.
Elryk DarkWing brings him home to their clans castle because Noah is a powerful magical being and recognizes they're fated mates.
Elryk has fears that Noah won't want to be tied to their castle and is very wary of showing emotions.
Noah is initially hesitant but is very open minded because he grew up with a New Age mother who embraces magic.
Noah makes it very clear that he's all in.
Elryk is so very sweet and protective, absolutely greatful that his Goddess has blessed him with a mate after being alone for so long.
There's danger in a horrible group of creatures trying to take Noah to use him for his magical abilities but they're able to fight them off despite Elryk almost falling in battle.
There's plenty of hilarious moments and I loved the found family aspect.
Gary Furlong did an amazing job narrating and bringing these characters to life.

Scottish gargoyle, kilts, Scotland, a castle, magic, battles, romance, fated mates & lucky stars - what's not to love? Elryk is all duty, all responsibility, all too serious; he needs a shot of Noah in his life, to remind him to actually live it. They are perfect together, through all the discoveries and learning experiences, their bond and connection grows. There were so many scenes that made me laugh out loud - the tentacle-toss (Go long!) & a few others - SO MANY movie refs! I love how some authors write settings into the story so well, you see it in your mind, feel as though you're there; Chloe Archer does this very well in this book. Looking forward to the next books in this series!
Gary Furlong's stellar narration & acting took a great story & raised it a few more levels to AMAZING!!! His scream of terror had me cackling during an intense fight scene. I was snort-laughing at the "man-eating sheep" fiasco, too. He and the author drew me so completely into the story, I could picture it all, and his personality & talent came through to make it seem more realistic. SO BLOODY GOOD!!!
