The long-awaited finale to the #1 New York Times bestselling Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy.

Two villains, one girl, and a deadly battle for happily ever after.

Evangeline Fox ventured to the Magnificent North in search of her happy ending, and it seems as if she has it. She's married to a handsome prince and lives in a legendary castle. But Evangeline has no idea of the devastating price she's paid for this fairytale. She doesn't know what she has lost, and her husband is determined to make sure she never finds out . . . but first he must kill Jacks, the Prince of Hearts.

Blood will be shed, hearts will be stolen, and true love will be put to the test in A Curse for True Love, the breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Once Upon A Broken Heart trilogy.

Critic reviews

I absolutely adore Stephanie Garber's writing-the worlds she creates are just so magical and the perfect escape. I honestly think I could rave about her books and the world she's created for hours
Stephanie Garber's writing is so magical, inventive and engrossing that these characters will live on in readers' memories for years to come

I enjoyed it, but not much really happened. There's not the same character depth as in the other books or the same story. Just a lot of hanging around till Eva gets her memories back - which was done in a really underwhelming way. There's some really odd bits of audio - as if some lines have been re-recorded but using different equipment and then patched over - which is distracting. It's a disappointing end to an otherwise good series. The epilogue felt like complete cop-out as well.

A bit of a shame.

The storyline was to be expected considering how the previous two books were written, so I like that the author has continued the same writing pattern. I would have given it a higher rating, however, the double actor audio was fine but there were stages in the audio where the volume suddenly got higher and further away, which through me off kilter and made the experience unpleasant and really brought down the quality of the story for me.

Low audio quality

Very good, expected ending although poor audio quality. Good narrators. Great to see into the mind of Jack's and Apollo! ❤️

Very good, though poor audio quality

Was great loved all the books but the intensity that was there in the second one wasn't there in this one, could do with it being a bit longer and haveing a bit more character depth. Hopefully if there is more books about maybe Lala and Chaos then we can see a bit more of Jack's and Eva and some other things can get wrapped up.

Good, great actually but....
