About this listen

Corin Cadence is on the run.

After meeting with the Emerald Council, Corin has made himself some new enemies—most notably the Dalenos Six, a group of the most powerful representatives of the nation of Dalenos.

He's also made a dangerous deal.

A place of safety, if he can reach it. One where he can finally have one of the resources he needs most: time.

But while that strange place may hold the key for Corin to make his final preparations for a long-awaited rescue mission, it also holds hidden dangers. And one final secret tied to the Cadence household. One that could shake the very foundations of everything Corin has been raised to believe.

Fantastic as usual from both Andrew Rowe and Nick Podehl. I can't wait for more from either of them. I love what they craft together

I think Nick Podehl did a great performance and Andrew Rowe has done a great job of growing and developing his characters

Great addition to the series, maybe my favourite

I’ve read a lot of Rowe’s work, book 6 of Arcane Ascension is my favourite yet. I’d rate this series mastery, in league with other writers such as Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan, Robin Hobb and Micheal Manning.

The magic system of this world is brilliant. At book 5 I feel like things have just heated up. The characters, especially Corin, are absolutely spot on. As the Penultimate book of the series, I’m a little frustrated, as I feel I could happily read another 10 volumes of this series. The time themes in this book really make it stand out too, a very fun and exciting volume.

I do truly hope the last book of this series cleans up the Cadence family Arc, then introduces a much bigger series where both Corin, his friends and Keras then go on to challenge both the Visages and the Sun-Eater.

I’d say there is even room in there for a side series for Corin, Therin Thorn (re-awakened) and the reforging of Flow breaker. This could even be introduced in the next book when Corin and his friends reach the 7th Spire.

Even though Keras is a fantastic character, I could read endless books featuring Corin, who is very well developed.

I look forward to reading much more of Andrew’s work, I’ll be waiting eagerly for the release of book 7 and Weapons and Wielders book 4. Hopefully that will clear up what happened between Keras and Dawn.

Also another brilliant rendition from Nick Podehl. The perfect way to enjoy these books is to flit between kindle and Audible while on the move.

The best yet 🙌🏻
