This listen is a good place to start if you want to work on yourself and leave behind negative patterns. The daily steps are short and easy to understand. I liked how it focused on building emotional strength and staying calm in tough situation. It gave me useful tips that I could apply right away. It's a good book if you're trying to improve yourself and create a more peaceful life.

This gave me simple ways to stop spiraling into the same old emotional loops. I didn’t expect to connect with the content so much, but the way it walked me through recognizing my impact on others really stuck. Being more aware of how I show up has made my relationships calmer and more honest, starting with myself.

This book lays things out clearly from the start: if you’re ready to take a hard look at your own behavior, it’s here to help. It’s structured as a 28-day plan, and each day focuses on something specific—whether it’s how you handle conflict, set boundaries, or talk to yourself and others.

What I appreciated most is how direct it is. It doesn’t feel harsh, but it also doesn’t try to wrap everything in fluff. It pushes you to reflect without getting stuck in guilt or shame. Each section is short, but it gives you something real to think about—and something to actually do.

(From the author): “The dynamics that shape (meaningful relationships) often arise from deep-seated patterns, many rooted in early childhood attachment, past interactions, or internalized beliefs. When these patterns become toxic and interfere with your present connections, it becomes crucial to pause, reflect, and reassess the scripts you operate by.” That paragraph just about sums up this book’s aim: to improve your relationships by addressing the toxic patterns that live deep inside you and influence your actions and reactions—mainly subconsciously. The book uses specific tools such as daily exercises, worksheets and meditations to help the listener discover their deep-seated emotions that are guiding their actions, and change these behaviors to break the toxicity cycle.
Tools include “Shadow Work” (diving into thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that you typically hide or ignore) and “Somatic Therapy” (focusing on body sensations, movements, and emotions to find past traumas that might be stored in the body and influence our thoughts and actions). The author does a great job at helping us recognize what’s causing our toxic attitudes so we can use that knowledge to build better, stronger and more positive relationships. Worth the listen.
