Amie Ferris-Rotman is a British-American journalist. As Reuters senior correspondent in Kabul, she reported on Afghanistan’s transformation before founding Sahar Speaks, a programme supporting Afghan female journalists. She spent nearly a decade in Moscow, holding roles at The Washington Post and Foreign Policy. From Kazakhstan to Ukraine, her work has focused on women’s rights and has earned numerous honours, including a British Press Award and first place from the Society for Features Journalism. She is global news editor at New Lines Magazine in London, where she lives with her husband and son.
