I found this very short story a total pointless effort at a novella. It's more of a long prologue. And it did not make me want to read/listen to more of it at all.
At least it was free, free ebook and audible subscription, too.

Credit to the author, the book is well written and I think I could easily get into it but it is very short, I personally think the series has been cut into too many books. I would be ok with that if it was reflected in the price but unfortunately that’s not the case.

This is a short brutal book. The life of an Omega is harsh. Great performance from both Charley and Tor. I just wish it was a bit longer.
