I had a great time listening to this audiobook. It's very quick and I feel more world building was needed but I still enjoyed it. Great narrators. A fun read.

Verena is the princess and Dacre is the son of the leader of the rebellion. She is powerless in a kingdom of powerful faes.
She is beaten and treated badly, and runs away from the king/palace to live on the street, she eventually ends up in a dungeon and meets Ren and Dacre saves both of them.
The narration was good.

The story is good overall, but it felt rushed throughout the book. It’s lacking on the world building side, in the history of the characters, the description of the magic system, which seems interesting enough but it’s not detailed properly.

The duet narration was great, both narrators did a very good job in bringing the story to life.

Overall, it had me intrigued, I am definitely looking forward for the second book, in the least, to hopefully gain a better picture of the world and background for the story and also on what’s gonna happen next.

I liked the story but it was week in it’s world and character building. The fmc is a damsel and week let’s herself be pushed around (no banter) the couple is only drawn together by lust and nothing els. The 2D Charakters take from the interesting plot.
