This book starts of swinging and doesn't fail to grasp your undivided attention from the very first chapter all the way to the end. It's pitch black and super spicy with all the bells and whistles.
We have an intense and deliciously engaging narrative that is wholly Immersive, and, quite impactful... alongside the wickedly raunchy plot line and the brilliantly crafted characters this is a beautifully executed and well rounded story from Krista Turner Clark. And I am eagerly awaiting more from this series in audiobook!
The voice actors elevated the entire story and gave us an engaging and unique experience throughout this fantastic audio experience. I enjoyed this book immensely with the pure talent and depth of clarity these characters were given by these incredible actors.

Ruined me the first time and wrecked me the second 🥹

i can't imagine anyone else narrating Jolie and Woodrow than Mia and Sean.

Mia moreno gave such a powerful performance of Jolie. This was my first time listening to Mia, I was hooked from the first sentence.
Jolie isn't a weak character and what she endures is enhanced by Mia's highly emotional portrayal of her.
Mia expertly adapted her voice, making it easy to differentiate jolie from the other characters she covered, each having individuality and lure that will have you questioning their intent even more so.

i cried the first time reading this, listening to it made it hit so much harder.

I'm very familiar with sean masters. His name will draw me whenever i see a new audio announced .. but as Woodrow! Wow!
Sean's adaptability of Woodrow and Hell was commendable. Not to exclude the side characters whom he also voiced. Each drew different feelings an emotions from me.

Please remember this book covers extremely dark subjects, which are emphasised by the narrators passionate character portrayal.

This is my Favourite story of all time! It changed my brain chemistry! Please before you dive into this story know that this book deals with very dark and heavy topics.
I actually took a few days before I was even able to give you this review, I had a hard time writing down not only how I feel about this book but putting all my thoughts together. Thank you so much Cori for letting me vent thru the entire time listening to your book in your DMs!
I was captivated right from the beginning, the writing is rich and compelling, the plot is a dual timeline executed to perfection, giving the delivery of the story a perfect pace and development of build-up. We deal in trauma, mental health rep as multiple personality disorder, detachment and mental repression. They all add to the story fascinatingly, bringing so much depth to the characters.
Audiobook: performed in duet style by Mia Moreno and Sean Masters. Mia Moreno is the star of this one, her performance is bone-chilling, goosebumps, mind blowing. Is my favourite performance I’ve heard of all time, she poured her soul into it along with Cori writing bring Jolie to life most beautifully and devastatingly. Jolie is such a complex character a Mia, picked even the smaller nuances of her personality delivering everything with the most perfect cadence.
Sean’s performance is simply phenomenal as well, dealing with a character with multiple personality disorder, he understood each of the personalities, creating a cohesive character, with a perfect delivery for each of them. Hell is the most fascinating of them all, don’t get me wrong is a part of the same character in the end, but you have to treat each of the personalities as separate, and this is where Cori’s writing shone, highlighting in detail the differences and connections. I love both Woodrow and Woody as personalities and each of them had the perfect purpose for this story!
Cori delivered an unforgettable story, that will live with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for sharing your work, and this masterpiece with the world.
