She's a runaway bride. He's the billionaire who owns the ship she's trying to escape.

Shelby was supposed to be on her honeymoon. Instead, she's alone on a luxury cruise, nursing a broken heart and trying very hard not to think about the fiancé who shattered it—until she spots him on the same ship, new girlfriend on his arm.

Ben built the Sapphire Siren of the Seas from the ground up, and he has rules. Blondes only. No commitments. No complications. Then a furious redhead comes flying out of an elevator, kicks off her heels, and makes a break for the railing of his ship.

He stops her. He should walk away after that. She's not his type, and he doesn't do complications.

But her ex is prowling the decks, she has nowhere left to hide, and Ben does the one thing he's never done for any woman: he lets her stay.

Two weeks at sea. One suite. And a billionaire who's about to learn that the woman he rescued might be the one who finally wrecks him.

A spicy, slow-burn vacation romance. Book one of the Sapphire Siren trilogy. Free in Kindle Unlimited.

I really enjoyed this book. I struggled a little with the names and conversations at first and during the epilogue but after a while I understood what was happening. I loved the characters. There wasn’t a lot of angst. Some misunderstandings. Great friendships. HEA. Preview of the next book about the best friends. The narration was great. I recommend this book.

Should you go on your honeymoon even though you didn't get married? Shelby calls off her wedding to her cheating fiance and decides to take the cruise to get some semblance back in her life. When her ex-fiance shows up with a woman, she does what anyone would do, try to get off the ship. When Ben sees Shelby attempting to jump, he pulls her in and ties her up. Owner of the cruise ship, he's not going to have a crazy woman jump overboard. Little do these two know how this chance meeting will change their lives. K Thomas take us on a fun trip, with beautiful scenery, romance and craziness. Shelby is so easy to relate to. She is hurt, and now is trying to piece back her heart. She is vulnerable and hesitant. Ben is not looking for a relationship and Shelby certainly is not his type, until he can't get her out of his mind. It's a fun filled story with wonderful secondary characters, funny antics, broken hearts, crazy exes and an all out good time. I enjoyed this first book of the series and will definitely be looking for the next adventure!

Susan Marlowe is a seasoned narrator and always entertains me. She gives an amazing performance with these characters. Just the right amount of emotions and her voices are spot on. I loved her interpretation of the book!

I enjoyed the story, but honestly had a hard time keeping my mind from wandering. It was well written, just not enough of that "something special" that makes a story really stand out. Overall, the story was 3 stars, and the narrator... Well, I have a particular pet peeve... Narrators that pronounce words like "buttoned" as but-end.

Shelby was too mild and sweet for me. I like my heroines with some spunk and sass, but that would not have fit well with her backstory.

Clay (her ex) was an absolute jerk. Since we don't get to know him until after the breakup, it's hard to imagine he was ever anything BUT an absolute jerk. So, on that note, why was she with him in the first place? Why did he flip so suddenly? What did Shelby ever see in him if he behaved that way? He didn't just wake up as a jerk the day of their wedding. Well, I guess he did as it was written.

And Ben? He meets her and instantly stops being a womanizer? I'm just not buying it. It's too much of an abrupt change in their core personalities.

Again, I enjoyed the story and thought it was well written, so I would certainly encourage others to read it for themselves. What stuck out to me is often entirely different that what others get out of a story.
