Enjoyed reading this after the Edge of Darness series. It was fun getting to know more about Aria and Tobias.

Superb narration by all, although Aria's voice made her sound much older than her age in this book.

My only criticism is I wish we had more Tobias chapters. The ones we did get were great (heartbreaking though!) but too short. There was even one chapter where he describes his parents and I felt this would've been a great chapter in his POV rather than Aria's.

Overall, this was an excellent prequel to the EOD series.

I absolutely love Tobias Mitchell he has my whole heart. So nice to listen to the love rollercoaster ride Aria and Tobias go through. Love Leigh Rivers books. Definitely recommend.

The way mental illness is addressed is so real, the inner struggle... and I found myself wanting to hug them both. I loved the story, the character development, the twists and turns. Knowing the parents' background gives you a different perspective on the children's characters. I don't even know if I like the father or the son better.
I even like the children's stepfather!

I read the book when it was released and I’m so glad to say the audio didn’t disappoint.

Absolutely incredible narration to the such a well written and gripping story by Leigh Rivers.
