First of all. Kade 'touch-her-and-you-die' Mitchell is AMAZING. Your new book boyfriend who HATES you. Stacy is a little whiny but I think that's her character. Got me hooked!

My first Dark Romance and it didn't disappoint.

Ok so I might be in the minority of people not to love this book! I did enjoy it & I am going to continue with the series & a do love Kade but I honestly felt like I was reading 2 different books merged into 1 😐 there was the cute & tender love story then the present day story but then inbetween that is some weird twisted sex & hit man storyline 🤯🤯 wtf haha it threw me if I’m honest… I also can’t get onboard with the step brother abuse it just felt too over the top as how on earth has no one found out or why hasn’t she told anyone.. also her ex boyfriend is a hit man ffs as if he couldn’t find out about Chris & his dodgy goings on or even know he’s her brother. He could just kill him why wouldn’t she tell him!
It just didn’t add up for me. I did love their love story it’s cute & sweet & his love / devotion / obsession for her is top tier!! I also secretly love Tobias mitchell haha

I finished book 1 and 2 in under 3 days! I hate that I now have to wait 3 whole weeks for book 3 to be released in audible, as I would immediately devour it if I could!!

The books obviously contain heavy topics, which certainly won’t be for everyone, but I didn’t want to stop listening. I am so heavily invested in the story and the characters, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of listening, despite feeling frustrated, angry and sad at multiple points.

I’m contemplating buying the physical books (even though I’m dyslexic and haven’t read a physical book in almost 15 years) just so I can find out what happens next. 3 weeks feels like an eternity and I have no idea how I’m going to spend my free time until then without knowing how it all ends.

Stacey and Kade’s love story is epic and so real. Teddy Hamilton brings Kade to life so well; even inserting a little bit of a Scot’s accent here and there to tie in his Scottish/American heritage. Not overly smitten with Stacey’s English accent but I’ll let that go. I’m so cross that Audible doesn’t have the next two books in English (only available in German WTF) so I’m going to have to read them and imagine their voices. 5* from me
