At first I thought it would just be a light $mutty novel with a predictable ending, I didn't expect to connect with the characters like this and go through their ups and downs, I even shed a tear at one point. The book is deeper than I expected and I loved it and the complex and controversial subject matter it covers.

It is not an easy task to find something good and good it's not a word to describe this book!!
I laughed I cried I fell in love I was in rage ... this book it's in my top 3 .
Highly recommend if you are looking for something spicy with a good twist,the book is amazing !!

This book has all the elements mentioned in the review title but how I would describe it (although maybe not the first words that comes to mind due to all the hot, sexy spice and the maybe not altogether morally defendable actions of the MCs) is incredibly sweet and heart wrenching.

In some ways it’s a modern OM/YW, Pretty Woman story with a twist - that I don’t want to spoil ’cos it’s gorgeous. I love the MCs and their relationship, and the turmoils surrounding it is extremely well written. Even though there are some adultery mixed in to the story, and honestly I’m a huuuge opposer to cheating - there’s never an excuse in my mind, I still fell in love with the MCs love story! I kept routing for them all the way and that to me is the real testament to the amazing way in which Lucia Franco builds this story, the characters and their tribulations.

On top of this you have some amazing narration by Elizabeth Hart. It’s nuanced, engaging and very well performed. She is also one of the best female male voice impersonators out there if you ask me. She brings both the story, the characters (be they male or female) to life and makes this beautiful story jump of the page and ensnare you in it’s gloriousness. Would absolutely recommend.
