About this listen

Riley I didn’t need friends.

I didn’t need a man.

All I needed was to keep my little sister safe and cared for, and I would have done anything to do that, even working in a dive like Club Sin.

The last thing I needed was to get the attention of the most dangerous man in Hollows Bay…

KaiI was the King of Hollows Bay.

I had it all, money, power, and control over the city.

But everything changed the night my brother was murdered.

Trying to find his killer was easier said than done, especially when my path collided with the girl who instantly became my obsession.

I had to have her. I had to make her mine, and the only way to do that was to offer her a deal she couldn’t resist….

*Collide is the first in a planned trilogy. It is a dark romance and listeners are advised to check the warnings before listening. This book ends on a cliffhanger

The grip that this book had on me isn't even funny. Flipped from Physical to Audio and my GOD... Kai's voice was chefs kiss. He was a complete and utter alphahole and do you know what... I have never fallen faster for a MMC so early in the book. I warred with myself thinking it was too soon for me to love him... he hadn't even started to redeem himself and I was a puddle.

Reily was a fighter, working her arse off to bring her sister up. There is nothing that she wouldn't do to protect her... including making a deal with Kai.

I will definitely continue the series and will be reading more from this Author.

Bottom line is I LOVED IT!

Collide by E. K. Hunter

This was such an unforgettable, captivating dark romance. I’m still thinking about it two days later. rom the very beginning, I knew I was going to love this book. It was intriguing, engaging, and had me constantly wanting to read more.
The story follows Riley, a young woman doing everything she can to support her deaf younger sister after a family tragedy. Her life takes a dangerous turn when she catches the attention of Kai Wolfe, the powerful and intimidating King of Hollows Bay, Kai becomes completely obsessed with her and ends up forcing his way into her life, leading to a mix of danger and intense attraction.
Riley was such a likeable FMC fiercely protective, selfless, and completely devoted to her sister. Everything she does is for her, even when she’s put into an impossible situation. After being kidnapped, she ends up making a six-month deal with Kai, and that’s where everything really takes off.
Kai, I didn’t expect to love him as much as I did. He’s an obsessed, possessive billionaire MMC, but there’s something about his character that just pulls you in.
Both main characters had really strong development, which made their relationship feel even more real.
The side characters, especially Miles and Danny, were so loveable and added a lot to the story.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrators were incredible. They really brought the story to life and the added sound effects, like phone notifications and the club music, made it so immersive.
The twists were so well done. There were little ones throughout, and then that massive plot twist completely blew my mind. I genuinely didn’t see it coming. And that ending, the cliffhanger had me going straight into book 2.
Definitely recommend this if you love mafia romance, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, and touch her and die vibe.

Gripping story, amazing immersive narration
